Who Am I in This Gift of Life? -a poem

Who Am I in This Gift of Life?

Who am I?

What will I do with this gift of life?

God continually sheds His abundant grace in my life

But still I find that depression tends to take its toll on me

I know God has diagnosed me with depression for a reason

I don't understand why

But I know He's using me through it

I'll keep fighting

I'll keep standing

I won't give up;

Even though I hit moments where all I want to do is give up

But that's life

Life is hard

Life gets overwhelming

Life becomes filled with confusion and fear

But I won't let it tear me down

My past relationships

My past mistakes

I won't dwell in them

The past is the past

All I can do is learn from it

All I can do is use it for motivation to continue to fight

Who am I?

What will I do with this gift of life?

What will I do to impact others through my diagnosis?

One step at a time

One day at a time

I know I'll be alright

I know God will give me strength to continue to fight

Thank you so much for your encouragement bluebird. I appreciate it. Keeping a positive attitude is not easy at all! But with patience and perseverance we are more than able to keep moving forward with optimism.

I appreciate your positive attitude, that is not easy. Thanks for being so candid and sharing. I've been there myself, I know how you feel, but so glad you are not letting it get you down. Through God we can prevail.

So keep up the fight, don't ever give up! There is a lot at stake and an incredible potential for each of us down this road of life with its ups and downs. We're on the brink of two worlds, be glad we'll be saying goodbye to this world of Satan's very soon. And hello to The Kingdom of God in the near future. Praise God!
