Why I Fly (limerick)

Updated on July 3, 2013

When birds in my yard take to sky

It’s me who they teach how to fly

Though Joy may embroil it

This fact would soon spoil it

They thought that their toilet was I

I've had a day full of laughter with my children, but this is a most excellent way to being wrapping up the day! Hahahaha

Oh no! I live by the ocean and seagulls see many of us as their toilet!

OMG......this is so funny and I unfortunately have to admit that I was graciously used as a potty by one of our avian friends at the beach not long ago. I am not sure what is funnier, your limerick or that bird! Thanks for sharing. (Voted Up) -Rose

I almost fell out of my chair when the page opened to that big BIRD staring at me! But your limerick was even funnier!

Funny thing about our feathered friends...they don't mind letting it drop and on any one or thing that gets in the way. Nice poem, my friend. whonu

Haha. I always wonder if you base your limerick on the photo, or the photo on the limerick. Another good one, and the bird is cute in a funny looking kind of way.

      Have a happy 4th!

O, dear. ...under a birdie at when they have to 'go' is not funny....I may be speaking from experience.

Thanks for the chuckle. Angels are on the way ps
