The Invisible War
- Memento Mori
Life, live it now because no one knows what happens when we die. And death, the most inevitable thing we are all afraid to speak of, when it happens, accept it. Embrace it. Embrace the mystery of the unknown. - Selfie and the Imperfect Me!
I yawn. I stretch. I paint. This is my kind of selfie. ~
The demons have come
Casting invisible war
They are cunning and fraud
Causing great harm
Robbing peace of mind
Drawing furrow on brow
Creating some situations
Toiled and tensed
They target the feeble minds
Who are at lost
And couldn’t measure the cost
Out of life’s turbulent roll
In the island of grief
Dark clouds hung overhead
Moving slowly billowing fold
And ominous kind swathed in shrouds
While the spirit is deeply wounded
From a battle of this invisible war
The Demons reign
Filling the future with dismay
Trying to accomplish their aims
No offer of a square deal to humbly retreat
But to continue to fight vigorously
And when the heart gets tired
Hollow and so damn weak
In its’ longing to end the battle
To depart this earthly scene
Suddenly becomes a winning streak.
From The Bell Jar
“I took a deep breath and listened to the old brag of my heart; I am, I am, I am.”
—Sylvia Plath
