YOU JUST LEFT
You just left~
With hugs and handshakes~
Gone as it snowed~
To be here no more.
You just left~
With my heart amending~
In the daylight your on the road~
Pure love I am sending.
You just left~
A solitaire shoestring on the driveway~
Amongst the slush I stand alone~
I know you had to get away~
Yet my spirit still moans.
You just left~
Giving away your guitar~
Why did you do that? ~
I still can not believe you’re going so far?
You just left~
Leaving clothes and other stuff~
I wonder if you’ll miss it~
I know I fuss too much.
You just left~
Now we will all have to adjust~
This is very emotionally ruff~
You didn’t even take your quilted puff.
You just left~
And we already miss you~
Did you say goodbye to Kitty? ~
Now I dab my eye with an already soaked tissue.
You just left~
And I wonder what more I could do~
You just left now our family is few~
You just left~
For sure my feelings are numb and blue.
You just left~
What now can I do?
