You Can Conquer It

Updated on May 17, 2020

He loves to write. It is his passion. It is also his time of reflection and a time to discover more about life.

Lately, I have a lot of thoughts and ideas which I wanted to write but I have been skeptical about it. And I feel something is stopping me from doing it.

What do you think is it?

Well, I am writing this article for that matter. I want to know what is stopping us from making our ideas into reality.

So are you ready? Continue reading below. :)

What Stopping Us

As answers to those questions, I came up with these:

  • Outside Voices

These voices refer to others' opinions about you. No matter how convinced you are about your work and tried to make it at its best, other people would still have something bad to say against you. Their words are like a sword slashing you into different cuts that it hurts you and lowers your confidence and self-esteem. As a result, you would be doubtful and coward to try the things you wanted to do. And it is transforming all the possibilities into impossibilities.

  • Inside Voices

Inside voices are your worries and fears of the outcomes of what you planned to do. You fear rejection. You worry about the negative what-if's. You are too concerned about the things that do not happen yet. As a result, you end up not doing or even trying. You totally miss the fun and the possible good outcome.

Helpful Tips in Overcoming

1. Just do it.

You have to remind yourself of the two cliches:

  • You cannot please everybody.

Do not seek much of the approval of everybody. It will exhaust you. All you need to do is to give what best you can. Show it off without hesitation. As long as you have not hurt yourself and other people, then do it. Write, dance, sing, draw. Live your heart's desires and let no one stop you.

  • Everyone has, at all times, something to say, either pleasing or against you.

Other people's opinion can be helpful or disastrous for you. It depends on how you perceive them. So be discerning in taking on what others tell about you. Yes, it can be painful if you take it against you. But if you see it as an invitation to self-improvement, then you will be blessed and become better by striving harder to be better.

2. Believe you can.
Know that YOU are GREAT. Remember that among the millions of competitive sperm cell, it was the sperm which made you survived and won. Nobody can change that. You are a champion then. And let that phrase resonates within you so that you would have the guts to do whatever you wanted to do.

Whatever is the circumstances, you should always have the reason to be joyful. You have to celebrate and do what will make your heart jump for joy.

3. Focus on your reasons.

It is this thought which I kept my grip and gave me enough reason to keep pushing. Yes, my life was not perfect. But the imperfections of it taught me valuable lessons which I wanted to share with others. And it is with that purpose I am trying to write despite the adversities. I wanted my words to be a companion for those who are alone, a comfort for those who are in discomforts, and encouragement for those who are discouraged. It is what has God blessed me and this what I am going to use to bless the world and to give Him glory.

It is always your last say determines if you can conquer it all.

Final Words

The outside world might be difficult for us to handle. But the inside world is much harder. You have to work hard taming what is inside your head. With your will and determination, the voice within could overpower the sounds from outside. It is always your last say determines if you can conquer it all. I know you are STRONG and a CHAMPION.

      Hello Jason

I'm becoming quite a fan! You've addressed another valuable topic here. This hub is both informative and helpful...the perfect combination.

Our internal dialogue can inspire or destroy us. The way we think determines our actions and our actions determine our character. We must learn how to interrupt negative dialogue by interrupting our state of mind. I simply yell "STOP IT!" Then I replace my thinking with positive, powerful thoughts. It works!

Excellent article. I like the all reasons you have listed especially, "if you don't hurt yourself or others", "sperm which won :-)", "fighting the inside".

Good and inspiring article for not just writing but also acting on whatever passion one has.
