Like a new spring bud

Waiting for the kiss of sun.

Beautiful blossom.

Power of a storm

rising up. Lightning. Thunder.

Satisfied stillness.

Bountiful Harvest.

Fruits born of summer labor.

Love overflowing.

Frosty days. Cold dark

nights. Tempered by warm glow of

fire fed by love.

Daisy - Thanks for the compliment. I am totally hooked on haiku. When I can I try to stay true to the traditional "rules" of seasonal words, juxtaposistion, no rhymes, making the lines flow... It is SO rewarding!

I had to read this a few times because I was just overwhelmed by the power your words had to portray an image into my mind. I loved the visualization and even though this isn't exactly what you wrote I thought about a time where I was sitting on the ground looking up into the sky late at night while a storm was brewing on the horizon. I was in my boyfriend's arms as he warmed me in the chill night air and we were just looking at the stars. You wrote a little more variety but together I just felt as if I had been whisked back into time at that one place where I felt all the seasons combined. Very beautiful!
