You Were Mine

Updated on November 17, 2014
Love Hearts for Eyes
Love Hearts for Eyes | Source

Even though we had never met, I fell in love with you.

Your sense of humor.

The sound of your voice.

Your personality.

It showed through in every text or phone conversation.

Any interaction with you triggered emotions deep inside of me.

Every time I received a text or heard your voice

My heart skipped a beat or two.

I let my heart rule my head.

I let my trust in you take over.

Then the first time my lips met yours.

It sent tingles throughout my body.

My knees weakened.

And nothing else mattered except you in front of me…

Feeling your body against mine.

I had longed for this moment.

I fell in love with your spirit, your heart, and your character.

Once we met everything changed.

You changed.

This is not what I wanted.

I would rather go back to the fantasy.

In that world I could pretend you were mine.

I haven't had the chance to see the movie. Hope to though. Thanks for taking the time to read my hub and comment.

This reminds me of the movie where a man falls in love with his computer -- it's only pretend, don't be fooled. Good poetry thought.
