all alone,I grieve
All alone
like an old bear
Trapped in a cave
As silent as the grave
Locked in, bleeding ,Short on breath.
No way out, no way in.
All alone
Sprawled out on the floor
Frozen, dying of the grief
Upon a door left ajar
To a passenger from afar
Who stepped in with a fake smile
And then ran a mile
after awhile
leaving a scar
in a jar
burning so deep
deepening the weep
No soothing balm can heal
nor a patch can seal
Like a dead man
beneath green grass
Wrapped in opaque veil
Scrawny ,withered , pale
No pockets to carry pieces of a floating cloud
or to hide an image frozen in time.
Nor a straw heaved into sight
up obove through the twilight
to clutch for an other life,
or an other strife.
All is gone,
said and done
once and forever!
