Motivation... What motivates me to write? That is an excellent question, one that I luckily have the anwer to.
Everyone has ups and downs in their life. I've been dealt one of those hands in life where I've had a lot more downs than ups. It wasn't until recently that I came to realize exactly how unbalanced that scale was.
My motivation is release.
I want to release all the anger, the depression and the hurt that has accompanied me my whole life so I can be happy for myself and my family.
My motivation is every person who has gone through horrible things and still managed to make it through, and come out strong.
My motivation is every person going through horrible things, who need help to get through it.
My motivation is finding the light in the darkness.
Jesse, can I ask why you feel so hurt and angry?
This is a great answer Jesse. I figured as much and was hoping you would write a hub about it. But you still have time to do that. Good Luck and welcome to Hubpages
Joan, I have emailed you, but trust me there is more.
Cardisa, all in good time. I have more healing to do first, thank you for asking this question. I have since revised my 'about me' section.
All the best.
Hi, Not sure if you're asking us all, but if you are, my answer is this.
I write because I've always written. Ever since I could write, I've been writing stories, plays, poems, movies, short stories, magazine articles, anything and everything and now I'm learning how to be an online writer.
If things went wrong for me in back in boarding school, so many years ago now, I made up whole books about the terrible drama of it and hid the books behind radiators.
I used to walk in the woods and the mountains a lot and fantasized stories all the time. I could feel the ghosts and the fairies and my ancestors in the grass and winds.
I published an article in the 'A View of My Own' page in a British National magazine when I was in my twenties; editors and other writers told me I always had my own point of view which people liked to read.
I wrote plays which were staged because the Playwrights Group was the only writing group in my town that I could join and mix with other writers and make up stories (often my secrets could be played out and nobody knew that the stories were real).
I've had poems published lots of times, because poetry captures moments and keeps them in a bottle.
I've written two movies!
I just have to write something all the time. I love learning the different crafts of writing too - it's a passion that's really a part of my whole makeup.
I write for the personal satisfaction it gives me through knowing friends and others derive knowledge and insight from my work. I began writing in 2004 and have not regretted the decision even though I sometimes have periods when I cannot find one thing to write about.

I know that book writing is not an attractive hobby because if your attention drags in between it will lead you no where. And it is obvious that for writing your first book you do not need any age limit. But what should be the appropriate age to write your first book if you want to be a famous...

Do you remember the first time you thought; "I am a writer"?

How do you deal with it? Most of us writers spend hours typing madly and doing endless research, all while staring at the computer screen. I find that some days when I really have to get down to the nitty gritty and finish a project, my eyes are weary and my brain is just simply fried. And...
