Cowboys and Cowgirls still exist.
Dreams of being a Cowgirl
Dreams of being a Cowgirl
Oh, l sometimes wish l could have been a cowgirl...
Hair tied back, Stetson hat whoopeee. l´m a cowgirl
Trouble is, when childhood games were my only care
l had brothers -- even cousins, all were boys,
So guess who didn´t get a gun with those tiny little ´caps´that ´BANG´´?
l always had to be the squaw, tied me to a tree, running rings around me,
Yelling, shooting, with smoke from caps were smelling
of a burning little squaw, that was ME!.
l should have been more bossy, put my point of view,
l didn´t have to be the squaw.!What´s wrong with an Indian Brave?
Tie my brother to the tree, then a cowgirl l could be
Oh, why back then was l just´silly me?´.
Couldn´t play that game today, ¨¨Health and safety´d have their say¨
Nanny State would surely interfere........
But l can dream and still pretend ....The Rodeo!!! With my cowboy friend
Yep, my cowboy friend and l would go, really would enjoy the show.
Cowboys all around in tight blue jeans and spurs and chaps...
Ho Ho, o boy, would l love that!!!
Oh l wish l could have been a cowgirl.
Slight drawback of course, l´ve never ridden on a horse,
But my cowboy would so helpful be. He´d teach me how to ride,
Not tie me to a tree. He´d fall in love with me.
Once he´d taught me how to ride we´d go trotting side by side,
Ride the old wild west or in that style..
OH l sometimes wish l could have been a cowgirl.!
Dreams come true, don´t you know.?
It´s not too late to ´have a go´.
In your dreams, dear old girl.
don´t think you´ll really make the show.
Go to bed, and dream of how you wish you were a cowgirl....
