Could some kind soul please tell me how,or where I find the copyright symbol to put after my photos on Hubpages?,-many thanks..
I can't help you, but do be aware that putting a copyright symbol under your photos won't stop them being stolen. If you put a good photo on the internet without a watermark, you can pretty much guarantee it will be stolen!
Unfortunately you're not allowed to use watermarked photos here, so the best plan is to choose photos you're prepared to lose.
If you want to make money with your photos, you would be better off somewhere like Dreamstime.
The copyright symbol is not available in the edit photo capsule, only the text capsules. You would have to put it in as (c) Joe Bloggs 2013.
Hope that helps
You can use the 'Character Map' in Windows to get a proper copyright symbol and simply 'select' it and 'paste' it in to the relevant box under your picture.
Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Character Map - then go to the 6th line down, 4th symbol in, and that is the one to select. Resulting symbol is : ©
Use this in the info under the photo along with appropriate details like your name.
You are welcome. I don't normally use it for my images, but just to test it I put it under my header picture in my How to Build / Make a Fishing Lake Hub just now as part of the caption text, and it pasted into the box without any problem at all.
When you have selected the symbol, go to where you want to put it, then use the right click and select 'paste'. Alternatively use 'ctrl p' on your keyboard.
Perhaps I should add that when you get as far as the © symbol on the character map you need to click 'select' (so it appears in the box at the bottom of the map), then click 'copy', and then go to your hub, go to the caption box for your picture, and then right click in the box and select 'paste' from the options that appear. This will make the © appear in the box.
do you have a photo editing program? i use photoshop and there is a copyright symbol under shapes that you can layer onto your picture.

A discussion started about this on the end of another thread, but it's got buried. I was checking an early Hub today and it reminded me, because I'd used a photo from another website. At that time, I didn't understand that most photos on most websites are copyright, unless they...

Another question regarding HubPages protocal and general legalities...How do we know if an image is copyrighted? Is it imperative that we use sites like freefoto.com or use only our own pictures, or can we include pictures saved or linked from, for instance, a google image search? This...

When our hubs were once chosen, we had a way to see what was supposed to be fixed before it appeared on a niche site. Now I don't see anything like that. It could be me, but there was a way to see what they wanted added or deleted. It's very frustrating. Yesterday I was told my hub on Zeus, the...
