I've always been known as a sort of bravewarrior , but when hiking one day, I found myself lost in the wilderness . No matter myefforts , I could not find my way home. But I am a Longtimemother so I knew I could not give up. I stumbled on a camp of marauders whose leaders, Seafarer Mama and Captain Redbeard , said they help me find my way back, but for a cost. So I told them the secret to 101WaystoLife and in return they returned me to my home where I spend my time making the world a better place for my children as an electronician .
The tirelesstraveler made his way through the wilderness until he arrived at Castlepaloma. He then proceeded to amass an army to besiege the crap out of it.
When I told friends I was having trouble finding my voice, they suggested a ~vocalcoach~. No, I said, not _that_ voice; my inner voice, the narrator within, the voice with a ~wrylilt~, the ~slylilfox~. Perhaps it left me at the ~moonlake~; perhaps, as ~Heathersays~, the ~faithreaper~ stole it away.
I hope some ~Jeannieinabottle~ appears, and I can wish for that voice to return. Should it stay silent, it'll be difficult, I know -- but I'll ~flourishanyway~.
Alas, woe is me … there's a typo in ~Jeannieinabottle~. Jeannie, forgive me (and please grant me my blasted wishes anyway!)
Awww, thanks. I rarely venture into forum-ville and didn't realize edits were possible. Now if I can figure out the formatting language for the cool blue text you added, I'll expect a gold star.
You click on the bottom right of the screen when youre in writing mode... on the word "format" and it gives you a whole bunch of options.
Where are you from in AZ?
I was born, raised and spent 20 years working for Scottsdale; lived in Cave Creek for ten years; and now live on the edge of the Tonto National Forest in New River. Oh --- and a few years in Tucson at the UofA.
I lived in Tuc from 80-94, then Tempe from 94-97. My parents lived in Scottsdale and my mom and siblings all live in Marana currently.
Ahhh, so we were fellow Tucsonans for a few years -- I was there in the mid- 80's as well. Funny, our paths may well have crossed! My mom still lives in Scottsdale in the house in which I grew up.
I lived over off of Tanque Verde at the time.
Funny I never imagine anyone growing up in Scottsdale.
After experiencing dorm life and realizing that co-existing with over 650 other females in Coronado Dorm was enough shared estrogen for one lifetime, I moved to an apartment off of Speedway and Wilmot. I used to spend a lot of time hiking in Sabino Canyon … and kept a horse at a ranch on Spanish Trail and Houghton.
Yah, Scottsdale actually was a pretty great place to grow up back when. Now it is silicon and Escalades and angry drivers with caramel macchiatos in one hand and a cell phone in the other. Then, it was desert parties, the punk scene, and riding our horses to school. Glad I was from "then."
Kinda sad. I like the picture you drew... both of them.
I worked at that movie theater on Wilmot. (I think I thought it was Wilmont the entire time I lived there.) I got paid student wages til I found out student wages was like 4 bucks or less. I went to Sabino High for a few months then switched to a Christian school on Craycroft. Didja go to Pinnacle Peak, where they cut off your tie? Or Gaslight theater? I have a lot of good memories about those places.
One of our family's favorite places to go when I was a kid was Reata Pass, just up the road from Pinnacle Peak -- Dad would take us for a hike through the desert to the site of an old plane wreck. We often visited Pinnacle Peak, too -- and I've been there in the past couple of years as well. I used to work on some of the Arabian horse ranches in Scottsdale and had the best desert-kid existence -- tubing the river, riding in the McDowells, and roaming freely.
When I moved off to attend the U, I worked at the Black Angus throughout college. I loved Tucson in the 80's -- dwelling in that magical place midway between the clubs and the poetry readings. Such great times and wonderfully quirky people.
Eventually I'll get some writing done about Scottsdale. I still haven't come to terms with it having grown up and become a big and impersonal city. So goes our youth. Sounds like we both spent it well.
I took some horseback riding lessons at a little ranch right up the road from where I lived... on Sabino Canyon road, between Cloud and Tanque Verde. I wonder if you knew it? I spent my youth playing softball mainly... swimming in the back yard. I avoided the sun as much as I could. lol Gym class in 108 degrees was enough for me. Im in TN now and enjoying the seasons. I had forgotten what those were til we moved.
BillyBuc was in his garden planting organic food plants. He thought to himself, "Life is like a garden. You start with the seed of an idea, and if you nurture it well and make it real, basic and fundamentally raise it in its true essence, you write a book that spreads truth to nurture the spirit and soul." EricDierker walked by, happened to overhear him and said, "I ruminate. And my blogs are good, too." Beth37 said, "agree y'all. Let's make a forum about this."{

FlourishAnyway has published her another interesting and remarkable collection and compilation of songs related to car crashes in this article. Some of these songs are related to the issues related to accidents and safety concerns while others are more amusing in true sense. I found the compilation...
