Do you know how stringent the standards are to get accepted into this? I'd love to try, but am not sure if my fiction skills are up to par.

You'd be surprised. The first post has a link (http://literatureandlatte.com/forum/vie … mp;t=28574) to a number of questions of which yours one is one. These are some of the questions which are answered:

Do I have to be a professional / published writer?
English is not my first language, can I still take part?
Do you check participants’ writing standard before accepting them?
How do you plan the stories?
Who owns the copyright on the finished work?
That all sounds brilliant! Where do I sign up?

Keep in mind this is intended to be a fun day for all. I enjoy the fact that people from all over the planet are participating.

I looked through the FAQ earlier and am still on the fence whether I want to give it a shot. I guess you'd call it a crisis of confidence. The writing people put out seems to be excellent and although I *have* published fiction, but don't want to muck up the whole thing with bad writing. I guess it couldn't hurt to submit a sample...

So did you have a look and decide to play?

I want to play so bad but unfortunately Arizona State Parks don't have wi-fi and that's our once a year camping weekend. Still, thanks for sharing this. I have bookmarked the site and am going to learn more about it. What a fun thing to do.

I'm sorry you'll miss out. Next year however. If you join the forum for NIAD, you'll receive emails for the first invite post next year.

Okay, folks. Just thought I'd mention this again. It's the most fun I've ever had besides Seaworld and making snow angels.
