Advice on advertising and promoting a book?
Hi everyone,
How are you doing? I decided to post this in forums because it's not just a question, but a discussion and also an opportunity for indie writers to talk about their books.
Like hundreds of people worldwide I'm about to self-publish a novel. I was wondering if anyone has experience in promotion, advertisement, and getting people excited about it. I do know however that if anyone had the perfect answer, they'd be mega-rich! So let's talk about our ideas, our books (or other people's) and hopefully help each other.

If my article is to explain my book, is it still advertising?
I created a hub explaining what my book is about and shared a link on where it can be found. It was like a small book report/review. I wasn't making remarks telling people to buy the book, I was simply throwing knowledge out there about a new book!
