A place of water .....of wind
oh lord for I have sinned from afar
I took the beauty of nature and
leveled it for the travel of a car
Poured cement across a prairie and
tar across the fields of green
I tore down a forest and built another bridge
across all the rivers I've seen
Now I take the water and pour chemicals so
poisonous this greenish unflavored mix
and left it there in pools of danger
but for our children I've played these tricks
Will our grandchildren see the views above or
shall I level the mountains too
I've done all I can for now though
the rest is up to you
I see it as a mysterious yet upfront poem about the people and what they are doing today... spoiling nature, spoiling the world for our childrens children.
