HBO released the first teaser for the movie adaptation of Ray Bradbury's “Fahrenheit 451”. I don't know about you, but I am definitely intrigued. Bradbury (RIP, OG wordsmith) is one of my favorite authors, and his stories had momentous influence on my start as a writer.

I am occasionally hesitant when I hear a top notch book or manga is being made into a TV show or movie, but I have  HBO will get the job done right.

In late 2017 HBO CEO Richard Plepler said the company invested $2 billion in 2016 for content – while Netflix and other streaming competitors are dumping money all over the place to expand exclusive content offerings to subscribers.

Plepler started a statement by offering this to say on CNBC: “More is not better, only better is better.” And a quick look at HBO's catalog indicates their strategy seems to work.

I’m always really hopeful for TV and film adaptations. I’ve enjoyed quite a few. Though as a big dystopian novel fan... I actually don’t love Fahrenheit 451. I can’t quite pin down why because I do really like the plot so if anything I’m looking forward to HBO’s film adaptation because it might actually give me whatever I felt like I was missing from the book.

That's cool, Aime. Once it's released by HBO, I hope you enjoy it! We'll have to chat about it later. =]
