I like to read non-fiction or historical fiction, books based on real people or events, time periods. I can rarely make it through a book of fiction unless it's one of the classics or literature like Hemingway, Steinbeck. I'm real picky about what I read because I don't want to feel like I wasted time reading some crazy book. :-
Both fiction and nonfiction are important to me. Some people shrug off fiction, but I find that it's exactly what I need at the end of the day when I'm tired and need to relax. I'm somewhat choosy, but I don't limit myself by what others might think of my reading list. I also enjoy nonfiction. I avoid religion and politics but I'll read almost anything else.
Definitely fiction, but I wouldn't say I am against non fiction since I am currently reading Eat, Pray, Love.
I would rather read fiction because it can be very interesting and exciting.
