I don't know about forms, but here is my poem on the Monarch Butterfly
Butterflies live in the sky; breathing, eating, exhausted from flying, no home to go to, continuous movement, resting in places to beautiful for humans. Warming their wings in the heat of the sun awaiting to wing to no where yet every where at once. On whispering wings life coming to an end flying into a bunch of like winged things, final destination, home among friends.
Although I find poetry beautiful in its purest form, I must admit that I am a sucker for the more traditional Mother Goose rhymes. Here are a couple of my favorites that I've always been partial to:
Mary had a Little Lamb,
It's meat contained Ecoli
And everyone that ate Mary's lamb,
Their insides turned to Ravioli
Pudding and pie,
Kissed the boys
And made them bi.
When the boys
Came out to play,
Poems that flow as you read them , though not always rhyming .Poems with a depth of meaning in their words and leave you feeling love, joy pain anything. But they make you FEEL.
poetic prose .. I like the hybrid of poetry and story telling.
