Have you ever had a good idea that you forgot (to write down)?
Will that good idea ever come back?
Yes I have actually. I'd be more than happy to tell you what it was, but I forgot because I didn't write it down.
Everyday. My mind comes up with ideas all the time but I don't have time to write them all down or time to write them all anyway.
yes i have forgoten things. it's easy for me to be dealing with other things. kids will keep you busy. family always want to do things. you have to put your foot down.
All the time, Daniel! Often my dreams are the source of great material, but as a busy woman, I don't always write them down. Sometimes, if I feel a really good one has flown, I put a pad of paper and pen next to my bed, ensuring that I will not forget the next one. When the subconscious is at work during dreams, I try to stay open to its messages as best I can so that my writing may-hopefully-benefit.
Will it come again? I'll let you know in the morning!
I too have had many ideas that I have forgotten. I would have written them down but I forgot where I left my pencil. I did write some down but have forgotten where the paper is.
lorlie's answer reminds me of a story I read about someone who was always getting good ideas in dreams- but could not remember them.
He put a a pencil and a pad of paper by his bed and went to sleep repeating "write it down..write it down... write it down...".
He awoke in the midst of a dream and scribbled a note on the paper.
The next morning he read the note which said, "write it down...write it down...write it...".
Whenever I travels, in that journey time ideas flows in my mind very freshly, I decide to write it, after some period when I start to write that ideas, I didn't write more or perfect what that topic was...
Some time after publishing hub some I forgotten ideas comes in mind and hubpages provides such nice re editing option, by using it I again add that idea in my hubs.
It happens to me every day. Some times I may recollect the same with limitations.
All the time back then...Until it becomes something you can't get away from, that's when I began writing on post it's at work, recording my own voice, typing on my phone's note feature. Good ideas are gems, you can't let them get away.
Lol waaay too often.. I believe though, if it was a good enough idea, it will come back to you
I have had that happen to me several times in the past, and they didn't always come back, so now I carry an ideas journal with me all the time. I wrote a hub about it too, in fact. Check it out if you are interested:

OH wow, so so many times! I used to carry a pen and notepad about with me to prevent this but sometimes it would happen during a conversation so it would be lost
I find that if an idea is really REALLY good, it will reappear. Sometimes not the way it was originally, but developed a little more which tends to make it a better idea!

Do you think its a good idea or bad idea to write about politics on HubPages?Politics, like religion, stirs up emotions in some people bringing out their, shall we say, darker qualities. Knowing this is it a good idea to rouse them with political hubs?
