forgive my ignorance but what is a grant writer, what do they write about??
A grant writer is someone who writes proposals for a project in order to gain state or federal government money to fund the project. They're asking the government to "grant" them money in order to pay for something. Grant proposals run the gamut of grants for research to grants for playgrounds and anything and everything in between.
A grant writer specializes in this because he/she knows the governmental requirements for what has to be included in the proposal for the best chance of success to get the grant of money.
