Are there differences in the spelling of numbers in poetry?
As far as I am aware (as an ex- English Lit student) no...The only variation I am aware of in the spelling or writing of numbers is when it is at the start of the sentence...You don't start a sentence with a number.
However, I'm sure if you went back far enough (like Chaucer far) then the spellings of numbers might be different (for example as I recall at one point 'one' would have been 'ane'.) This takes into account the changes in the language over the years.
