   MalikShawn
   I am part Irish and play goal in hockey. I am designing a new hockey helmet and would like to put an irish saying, proverb, blessing etc. on the back of the helmet, but don't know to many. If anyone knows som of theses sayings, please let me know.

   I think it is more of a blessing to know who you are because then you know what you have to do to be who you want to be.

   I know who I want to be. That's definitely not a blessing. The staggering gap between that and who I seem to be now is not a motivator, it's just one more reason to be miserable with myself.

   I believe that knowing who you are is more of a blessing than knowing who you want to be. This is because when you know who you are you are satisfied with where you are at AND where you are going because you have that sense of self and direction you need to get there. But when you know who you want to be there is still so many questions of how do I get there.
