Can I use my forum posts to make an article without referencing it or is that plagiarism?
For example: If I make 7 or 8 forum posts at site A, and then combine those posts to form an article by maybe adding an intro and conclusion and smoothing it out more or less. Would the forum posts be considered the first time published or would the article and should there be a link to the forum discussion?
You could re-write the whole thing it would be better. I guess it would be plagiarism
If you are quoting people, it is ok. Give them the credit and say that it is a quote.
If you want to use their original words and make it look like you are the one saying it, it is plagiarism.
Don't let others put words into your mouth. You can paraphrase or directly quote only.
Hope this helps.
