Any ideas of what our shadows do at night when we can't see them?

Our shadows are only seen in some sort of light with us, but when we're in darkness they go away. Any ideas of what they do when we can't see them?

I'd say they're out playing with Peter Pan and The Lost Boys.  What a fantastic question by the way!

They obviously don't clean the house or do the laundry!

I say they roam the world at night looking for kittens and puppies to devour.

J/K. I think the premise is silly so I answered with a silly answer. I am too logical to play along, as I understand that there is no shadow where there is no light (dark bedroom), and if there is light, your shadow will remain motionless on the wall behind you, unless you toss and turn in your sleep, and then your shadow will mimic those movements.

I think they get together with other shadows and have all night poker games/keg parties/dance-offs.
