    How long has it taken you to get a book written that you have considered your "opus"?

    This question is geared toward getting the book done, doesn't mean necessarily published although we all know that's the point of writing in the first place.

    I'm not sure.. Its different for people, but i'm pretty sure about a month.

    I've had one book published and it is my favorite story and work of all time.  It started as an idea in the early 70's, rolled around in my head and on scratch pads until 1987 when I finally wrote it start to finish.  Then published it in 1998.  A long process and honestly (she says turning slightly red) I still love reading it.
