Has anyone had success publishing on Kindle and would be kind enough to share some details?
Details such as niches, number units selling, promotional techniques.
I am thinking about this myself. There are plenty of articles on the net about this but nothing conclusive. You can make more money on kindle but that's only if you are a success and market it correctly and that is HARD! You get 70% of the charge when you set your price at £3.00 which would be a dream for traditionally published authors.
Personally I am going to try traditional route first then kindle if it doesn't work. The hard part for me is the cover, you will have to take the risk of paying for a professional one if you want to come across professional yourself in most cases.
What is the text? If you care to share that is?
Wondering how you got on with kindle publishing, I am about to publish my first fiction book so am interested to know how you got on. I also have a tool that scans the Amazon Kindle API and gives you back the numbers and hot niches, if you want I can run some stats for you - Send me a message me if you are keen.
