Any novel writers on HubPages?
I'm am thinking about becoming a writer as a second job and want to start with writing ebooks. I know everyone on here must enjoy writing and was curious if there was any novelists? Could you give me any advice I know its hard but i'm willing to try! Thanks
I write yes. However, I currently do not have any of my work published. I enjoy writing and it comes naturally to me. The main thing is to relax and have fun. Don't stress. If you get stuck then re-read what you have written and think of all the different possibilities or outcomes to the event that you are stuck at. It wont be easy at first but, once you get into the pattern of it it will flow smoother and faster.
You might want to check into NaNoWriMo.org. an excellant workout for the developing novelist
I wrote a novel that is available on Amazon. I have also published two poetry books and one children's book of poetry with my kids. For Ebooks make sure you format it just right. Other than that, have fun. Writing is about passion, if you are looking to make a bunch of money from it then it will never work. The money comes after you get a good following. Starting out it has to be the passion that drives you.
Just sit down and write. Don't worry about anything else. Write for yourself and don't worry about others' opinions. One trick is to find a writer who's style you love and copy it. Your own style will develop eventually. As you write the words, the ideas, the new curves and directions will come to you. At least that's how it works for me.
