What do you do when you have writers block or can't think of any new topics?
That is when it is best for me to take a break from writing and get into something else that is interesting. Then, the writing bug will hit me again, maybe even writing about that "something else." :
go for a walk, have a drink with friends, go somewhere for a show, play a movie or anything else that gets my mind thinking and off of writing. it's amazing how many article ideas, business ideas, product ideas, etc that I get when I do this. just be sure to have a notebook and pen to jot down those ideas when they come.
I read books or blogs about writing. I find writing prompts. There is tons of stuff out there to write about.
Sometimes I just write about what I see lying around my room and that will lead me into a cool poem or short story.
