How do you ensure you put aside time for writing each day?
I have found that my writing is taking a backseat to other things lately. I am interested in knowing how you ensure you have time to stay engaged here on HubPages and in other areas of your writing.
Great question ! I think its almost impossible to" set aside" time to write , life just interupts at will . In my house at least , I find it hard to just 'close the door ' and yet thats what is needed at times , I know that my wife is a bit jealous ? of my writing . Even resentful at times .
I have been wondering that as well! I know ideally a person should write daily, but, for me anyway, with my children it is next to impossible! I am watching the answers in anticipation!
I don't which is one of my problems in writing. I could squish in some writing while on the campus. However, my writing would not be of good quality. The best way to get good quality writing is to write a couple of pages on the weekends.
For myself, less TV. If I have not read at least an hour ( I write book reviews) or at least written one review that day I will not watch tv. I just started that 2 days ago. Let's see how it goes. How much TV do you watch?
Alarm on my phone. It goes off and that's when I start. It has no end, it's when I get tired. Mostly I don't publish though. I research and write, then I like to do it all at one time, 2-3 articles in one shot. it's discipline but I understand and relate to you because sometimes I can't stick to a schedule. If I did, I'd have the body of Miss Universe because I'd work out every morning. But I don't. If you love it, you'll do it. If you love it more, you'll do it all the time.

When you write are you secretly hoping to change the world? Or a least a small portion of it?Writers tend to see the world in a different light, I'm just wondering how many would hope to change the world with their words, if they could.

I wrote a hub on swimming pools that's around 1000 words. And a lot of my videogame hubs are above 500 words. Since my return on HubPages, I've wanted to know something. Are 500-600 word hubs enough or are they now considered poor? I'm asking this because originally a writer did not need to get...
