    What is the difference between a script and a screenplay?

    Can someone say me the difference between a script and a screenplay

    THe way I understand it is that a screenplay is a script but a script is not always a screenplay. Screenplays are scripts for movies only. A script may be a screenplay but it could also be script for a stage play.

      I guess a screenplay includes camera positions as well, where as in script its just the dialogues and log lines. Not sure if my observation is right or not.

      Yes, it tells whether it's a close up or wide shot. It also tells whether its a day shot or night shot, inside or outside, so that these can be included in the shooting schedule.
