Well,I'm not really a fan of complete mystery books, but the one mystery book i do remember liking is 'Sherlock holmes and the hound of the baskervilles.' Yea I know it might seem childish but sir Doyle was a pretty good writer.
If you're not looking for complete mystery, books with suspense, I would recommend darkfall by dean koontz

I love Wilkie Collin's "The Moonstone". But it is very long and is a bit difficult to stick with. Ellis Peter's Brother Cadfael chronicles are also very good. Anybody able to recommend a book that is both literary and full of mystery?I've read chic lit, mysteries, and the literary canon here and there but i can't find something upbeat that is literary and mysterious too. If anybody has any ideas - do let me know. Thank you.
