Is there a best time of the year or month to publish an e-book on amazon?
My husband is writing one and I told him to wait until after the holidays to release it but really have no clue when the optimal time is.I also hope to write one some day so appreciate any help with this.
HI there, well I am not sure at all, as I was almost scammed by a publisher and someone on here gave me advise as to where to publish and Amazon was one of them. I have a book of poems I like to set up to publish but have no clue around that site as of yet.
Good luck
Laurie
It all depends on what you are publishing. If your work is seasonal it's best to publish before the season so that you can get noticed by the time the season comes around. Other that that there are no special times to publish.
Publishing on Amazon is similar to publishing articles online. It takes a little while for your ebook to get noticed and you must promote it. The more people read and review your book the further up the ranks will Amazon push it. So my advice would be to publish your book whenever it's done, it doesn't matter if it's before of after the holidays. The good thing with publishing for Kindle is that you can always edit your book at any time.
Thanks Cardisa for taking the time to give me this helpful response. His book is science fiction and not seasonal so sounds like any time is good to put it out there and hope for the best. Will have to figure out how to promote it.
Amazon gives tips on promoting your work. Are you planning on using CreateSpace well?
Hi Cardisa! I am planning on using CreateSpace because it is supposed to be really easy to use and it's free.
I always thought that the spring/summer seasons were the best time to publish. People generally have more time off and are looking for good reads. Plus, with the nicer weather, everyone will be outside and, thus, more likely to see whatever advertising you've done. However, I have no data to back up these claims; it's just my perception of it.
I'm not sure anyone has scientific date to back this up so perception is valuable M. T. Dremer. You bring up a valid point although I wonder if people like to stay cozy and hibernate in the Winter and read more due to the lack of outdoor activities.

What company do you recommend for publishing an ebook?I'm hoping to publish an ebook soon. My first attempt did not go so well because the company I used was not careful about reproducing my story the way I wrote it. I'm looking for help in this area please.
