I'm not sure which part you're referring to. There's a draft outline, which a writer might create to help them start a new book. Then there's a synopsis of events for agents and publishers so they know what they're getting in your book (this is sometimes called an outline). And then there's manuscript formatting, which is the required fonts and spacing for a finalized manuscript.
