Is it proper to use 'a' before an acronym, or would I use 'an'?Is there a rule to this or is it just what sounds right due to what letters are used? What about the fact that people pronounce them differently?
The rule is to use "a" before consonant SOUNDS, and "an" before vowel SOUNDS. For example: An hourAn apple A minute A banana
That is what I thought, but people are going to pronounce acronyms differently. I suppose I would go with my gut. Thank you for answering.
