    "Held Down"

    One statement
    Ruined
    A bond
    A superiors
    Perspective
    Lost
    Desperate
    For forgiveness
    At fault
    Caught
    In between
    Suffering
    From my words
    Being held
    Down
    By a force
    By hatred
    Disgust
    It's not fair
    Forgive me!
    Stop making me
    Suffer!

    Forget ...and...?
I get it.  At least, I understand it for me.  It is poetry, after all.  Subject to the reader's interpretation, and all that.  Good work, kbowlingtiger.
For me, it reflects why I quit school.  I wasn't allowed to write, I couldn't be shoved into a box, and I had too many contrarian ideas to be liked by most professors.  Now, I won't presume to interpret it for the writer.  It is hers, after all.  I do want the writer to know that it meant something to me.
