This is a neat topic for a prose poem. Anyone want to write and share a few lines.
She crawls out of her scary memories
and shuts the door tightly
Surrounded by the darkness of time
I remember when she was mine
memories infest our souls,
they change the way we are.
i was running towards my goal,
it was completely in sight.
The thorns & bushes tried to restrain me,
but i was in the mood to fight.
I scrambled my way through the thorns
& dodged the eroding winds.
I could feel the trophy in my hands
& the strength in my limbs.
but suddenly, the time stopped
& the moment froze.
the rest of the world came to a stand still,
albeit my mind was working alright.
my mind re visited the dark times,
it reminded me of my falls.
there was darkness all around,
'loser' written all over the walls.
Suddenly the moment refreshed
& i was back in the present.
my legs felt a bit shaky,
the confidence seemed forgotten.
i no longer had that spark,
the harsh world noticed this.
the thorns cut me & winds blew me away,
i was lying on the ground, all opportunities missed.
the trophy was gone
& the body was battered.
hence, again, my memories let me down,
destroyed my confidence & shouted 'loser' aloud.
to add to my collection,
this was another bad memory,
another source of crushing my confidence,
another way to doubt my skills.
It looks like i will never come out of it,
unless the god rains mercy,
gives me something boosting,
a successful & winning memory,
or else the saga would continue.........
she is now in a peaceful safe place,
She can relax, maybe even shed a tear.
hey thanx laura,i hav put it in a hub, i thank gracie sophia for providin us with such a cool topic 'people r their memories'

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. Martin Luther King, Jr. Is he right? What are your thoughts
