Hi everyone . I haven't wrote much of anything in the last fifteen years and I miss it and have decided to get back into it.
I am wanting to get into technical and creative writing . I could really use some help. i really need some refresher courses. Maybe some classes or mentors. Does anyone have some links or info that might help me or point me in the right direction .
Hi eagle - welcome to Hubpages
Good to see you're divig back in.
Try creative writing to get you started. Lots of hubs that you can sift through, find exactly what you're looking for etc. It will also help you identify hubbers that either write creatively or know know how to etc.
I hope that helps a little - I'm not creative writer. The nearest I come to writing creatively is complete nonsense
Welcome to HubPages!
Good luck on your search.
"Getting back into writing and need help"- If you haven't done it in 15 years, I certainly don't think you completely forgot.
I could see if it was 30 years or more, then yeah you're going to forget something trivial.
Writing or creative writing, are both subjective terms. Especially, creative writing. Who is to determine what is creative? You or your reader?
Unless you are talking about "writing" a specific way, in a manner of speaking. Like, a specialized format? Then, I would suggest you go and check things out to who is the top in their field.
You can use the search box at the top, to check through the variety of hub writers and see what you come up with.
Either way, do try and enjoy your time here.
Thanks for the replies guys.i started writing again about a year and a half back , mostly essays on intellectual subjects. which i enjoy but really have no practical value being as i want to write as a part time job. technical writing has really caught my interest . there seems to be a great need for tech writers . the only problem is i have zero experience in technical writing. i am going back to school in the spring and would like to make some extra money writing part time while i am attending. so that is kinda where i am.

Specifically, any advice for future novelists with issues spelling. I would love to become a writer, but don't know where to begin or how to get my ideas on to paper. I decided that instead of just helping, I would also try to help others in the same boat I am, minus the spelling part, by making my...

Last weekend I sent in my Benefits of a Gym Membership hub to Calorie Bee. And today it was declined for the same old reasons in the rejection email. Any ideas on how to improve it would be great, since I've thought it would be a good fit for other readers to read it on the niche. Here's the link:...

You know, I see forum posts complaining about how the forums are boring or dying. I see people complaining about how there's all "Indian Aunties" hubs or picture hubs, how people don't edit, it's all marketing crap and nothing good to read... and then I find these amazing...
