What is the difference between an EROTICA, PORN and an ADULT book. Which one do you prefer ?
'Adult' is a general term. It can imply sex, violence, scary stuff or just that which would be totally over the heads of most children.
Porn is something that has merely a prurient value, like a marital aid.
Erotica would be something that could be considered art but has a sexually arousing nature.
Adult = not intended for children, for whatever reason
Erotica implies an element of good taste and artistry, porn implies bad taste and lack of artistry.
I prefer a good adult book such as Possession by AS Byatt
