May We Keep Our Green and Pleasant Land, Please?
Till We Have Built Jerusalem
In Englands´Green and Pleasant Land.
Words by William Blake
A green and pleasant land, this country once was called,
Green it is, mountains, valleys, and ancient castle walls,
Yet pleasant land is failing us,
The human element forges in,
To this green and pleasant land.
Though woods and forests hold no terror
of grisly bears or tigers,
The terror comes from man himself
In this green and pleasant land
The landfills full of rubbish, are quickly filling up.
The Oceans being poisoned , When will man give up?
Give in and realise,........
Unless we love this land and show it some respect,
and work as one, hand in hand,
there´ll be no more,
A green and pleasant land.
A wasteland fit for no life...is what we´ll end up with.
It´s overtime, way past the time,
that we all should give,
As much as we can manage.
We can only do our best, But our BEST we have to do,
before we take a rest.
And look again at what we have,
in this green and pleasant land.
