Joy Again After The Pits

Updated on December 6, 2011

REBIRTH

OH ! The Joy of living!

Now that I am free.,

Now my feet don't touch the ground.,

Now my eyes can see..

.......................................

OH! The thrill of loving.

Now that I can feel..

Now that I can sense again

What is and is not real.,

.............................................

OH ! To keep on thriving

Now must be my goal.,

I must praise the very love

That freed my shackled soul.

I think you probably have the key, yourself, but yes , of course you can borrow mine. Mine was throwing alcohol out of my life. Wrote the poem in 1981. I've been unshackled ever since. (well part from still working on never losing my temper)
