My Favorite Ways to Read The Good Book
There may not be pictures in the Bible but it is well worth reading
There are several different ways to read the Bible these days. Not all are available to everyone. The most common is in the published format. But as technology progresses there are more and more options becoming available.
As you read through my site you will see some of those options. I have tried to share some free options as its easier to share things that are free than those you have to pay for. So please go forth and read a few words about the Good Word.
Two Bibles available in one book
My first dual bible found at a yard sale. Yes a yard sale. You never know what you may find. In this case I find them useful to have in one place. By having the words and verses right next to each other you can translate the old English in to new English. For me I am pretty understanding of old English. Once in a while I am thrown by a word and it helps to be able to look over and figure out that word. Its easier than having to pick up another book or using Google.
I also prefer to have a book in my hands when reading. Just something for me. I may be a geek but a book in my hand is still my first choice.
Word Search
Things you can use this book for
The interesting thing about these word search books for me is that I can ignore the price. Why you ask? Because I find them at a local dollar store.
- At work when on break or lunch this is a great way to pass the time. Not to mention you may have others asking what you are doing and be able to share the Good Word while having fun finding the Good Word.
- With my kids it has been a way to help them learn. By having then pronounce the words and find them they are also able to work on their spelling.
Below are free versions of the Bible
If you are like me money is sometimes not the easiest thing to spend. Time is easy especially when things are free. Every thing below this point are free to you. All it takes is a bit of your time. So please continue on down and enjoy the "Good Word".
The image used is part of the binding on the main image used for this lens. It was not free but I did find it at a garage sale.
Get the Bible Free on Amazon
There are several different version available on Amazon. Also there are several different languages available. The two that I have listed are set up on my cloud account. They are also audio. This means that when I choose what I want to hear it reads it to me. And even more important these books are free.
So How do you read your Bible?
Are you Audior or Visual?
Psalm 1:1-3 from the KJV of the Bible
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
