now he says

Updated on October 14, 2011

They always wait until it's too late

She smiled your direction

which you grew fond of over time

but at first you never approached her

now you say be mine

She brushed you walking by

in the hallways, lounge, and lines

you could only apologize and carry on

now you say be mine

She made you laugh and happy

in ways you haven't been in a long time

yet you'd ignore her texts for days and days

now you say be mine

She opened her heart to you

and showed you that she too, wasn't fine

her soul was broken just like yours

now you say be mine

She grew weary from trying so hard

to make your love shine

you told her you could care less

now you say be mine

She cried and hurt and suffered

and waited for change a long time

you let her wait for nothing

now you say be mine

She realized she needed more

and saw that love was blind

and once she chose to wait no more

now you say be mine

She teared up and walked away

leaving you, longing behind

you told her she betrayed you

now you say be mine

She saw your anger and your hurt

and any emotions for the first time

yet your time is up, you're too late

now you say be mine

She told him he'd always be in her heart

and she could never put him out of mind

but her last words to her lover were good-bye

now he says be mine.

I loved the poem... it's so beautiful how she hits him repetitively with bold letters, i read it like a 'dis-him' and deserving sort of sarcasm... but the video didn't match... there is an English song by the american bachata band called "The Way I Feel" that sounds like how this guy has to be feeling after this poem... the lyrics don't match exactly but the melody and the tone of his voice is what i was thinking of while i read the bold letters
