Rather than a foreign combination of words, Feng Shui that initially came from the east has been more and more familiar to the western countries. In big companies in China Feng Shui masters are invited every month and their services are highly valued and are well paid. Why so? Does Feng Shui really help to improve our lives?

Well, to start with, there are different schools of Feng Shui. Feng Shui, often perceived as some kind of sorcery, is in fact a complex system of knowledge including following some rules to feel better and to live a better life. Feng Shui originally means “water and wind”. But is also about all the elements - wood, fire, earth, water and metal - and their harmony in the nature.

The compass of the master of Feng Shui is a very important instrument that helps to check on the directions and to better plan the inside of a home or an office. The place then is divided by sections each of which is responsible for some special domain of life: wealth, health, children, relations, marriage, career, friends and knowledge. These sections can be decorated or designed so that the place is as harmonious as possible.

The first rule of Feng Shui

The first rule of Feng Shui is cleanliness. If the place is not clean and all the things aren't in their right places, there is no good energy flow and no luck for you, alas. Also, it is important to repair the stuff in your home or office. Broken locks or screeching doors as well as torn wallpaper are no good. So, it is always important to keep an eye on the place. The entrance should be well lit, better than any other place, actually.

Your lucky direction

In Feng Shui, the more often you face your lucky direction, the better you improve your life. There are four lucky directions to face and four unlucky ones to avoid by all the means. Both lucky and unlucky directions grade from the least lucky to the luckiest one.

Your personal Gua

Knowing the person's date of birth, it is easy to calculate the number of Gua for this person. And knowing this number, one can learn about their lucky and unlucky directions.

The lucky animals of Feng Shui

Dragons are considered like animals that bring good luck. To have a picture or a statue of a dragon at home or in your office makes the place and its inhabitants more chancy. Also, it is recommended to have gold fish that makes one wealthy. Wealth is looked upon as a very important thing. There is a skill that one has to develop – the skill to gain and then to keep wealth.

Colors in Feng Shui

In Feng Shui, if you need to change something about your relationship with others you can opt for certain colors of clothes that will help you bring this change. Also, red color vivifies almost everything. So, a red decor here and there in your home intensifies the flow of a positive energy and of a constant positive change also!
