Homemade All Purpose Cleaner Recipe

Updated on August 8, 2015

Easy Homemade Cleaner

Today I thought I would take the time to share some of my recipes, both for cleaning and cooking! I hope you enjoy the hubs that I post today!

This is a quick little recipe for an All Purpose Cleaner. Please be aware that if you are like me and have a hemp allergy to limit skin exposure to the castile soap. I seem to only have a reaction when it is a lotion that I rub into my skin but it's better to be safe than sorry!

For this recipe you will need:

  • 1 teaspoon of liquid castile
  • 2 tablespoons of white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of borax
  • 2 cups of hot water
  • 3 drops of tea tree oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon each of eucalyptus and lavender oil

Mix all of the ingredients together in a spray bottle and you're ready to clean! Spray on, scrub, and rinse off with a clean damp cloth. Do not use this cleaner on glass, I'll give another recipe for a glass cleaner in the next post!

If you would like to use a scented castile soap you can, just remember to omit the eucalyptus and lavender oils.

I hope you enjoy this cleaner as much as I do!

I like this, not that I'm all that careful to use green cleaning products, but I am all for saving money. Are we going to get more of these? Very good, Greenhousewife!
