Cupcake Holder, Carrier, Stand, and Tree

Updated on January 11, 2010

Cupcakes

Cupcakes are a favorite among children and adults. They are the perfect one person cake that you don't have to cut or slice and share. You can decorate them for just about any occasion or holiday, whether it's a child's birthday or Halloween. Cupcakes are just great.

You can make them out of white, vanilla, chocolate, marble, or any kind of cake mix, and add any color or flavor icing to the top.

Cupcakes are great for snacks at home, parties, weddings, and just about any sort of get-together.

The main problem you may find with cupcakes is transporting them without them jumping around a cake container, and setting them up without everyone having to reach their hands all over the place, potentially creating a big mess.

If you think about it cupcakes are great for classroom parties, but the small hands of the kids or even the bigger hands of the teachers, can get in the way if you're just placing 24 cupcakes on a tray. You're bound to have cupcakes knocked all over the place and icing on everyone's fingers while trying to pick their dessert.

There's an answer, and I have a solution for you. First, you'll want to transport your nicely decorated cupcakes in a special cupcake carrier so that each cupcake sits in its spot without rolling around. Then, when you get to the destination, and you're ready to offer the cupcakes, you a cupcake tree is idea to setting up your cupcakes.

Cupcake Holder

Cupcake holders come in a variety of styles, so you can choose the one that best suits what you are looking for. Generally, they will have a handle as they are for transport purposes, but you'll find that not all cupcake carriers transport the same number of cupcakes.

Typically, you'll find them ranging from 12 to 24 regular sized cupcakes. Some of them have attachments so that you can carry mini sized ones, which may be something that you're looking for.

Consider a holder that has at least one good latch so that you can ensure that the cupcakes won't fall loose from the top piece of the holder.

Something else that may play a part in which carrier you prefer is whether or not it is dishwasher safe or oven safe. Sometimes you can use the tray in the carrier to warm the cupcakes in once you get to your destination, so that you don't have to use multiple dishes.

Cupcake Stand

Cupcake Tree

The cupcake trees are great to showing off your cupcakes and making sure that they are easily accessible to others. You'll find that they come varying in how many cupcakes or muffins they will hold. Typically, they will come ranging from 12 to 32 cupcake holders.

Most of the stands are metal, but you can also find plastic standers, as well. So, whichever is your preferred material base, you can find the option.

Consider a collapsible tree so that you can easily store it when not in use, having a 16" tall cupcake stand can get in the way.

Some of the cupcake stackers have specific spots that you would put the individual cupcakes, but others will have a solid tier design so that you can place then where you'd like. Generally, these will hold more cupcakes or muffins, as you can place them a little closer together.

By using a tree, you'll find that your guests will be amazed at the design of the piece. You really can set yourself apart by having a simple cupcake stacker.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this article. So much so, that I am now hungry for cupcakes. I also love the pictures throughout this piece, in that you make the cupcakes so much more appealing and appetizing.
