how to get help with housing for single homeless mothers
living with friends here an there. Need help so i can get stable for my family
That's a very local question since each town, county and state have a bunch of rules.
Go to homeless shelter, there they will help you get into housing IF available. If you have no income, then might stay at the shelter for quite a while.
Live in a very tiny town - ugh - then would have to go where the services are - a bigger town that's more dangerous to live in.
If won't do the shelter route, then don't stay at one friend's place for too long. Spread the joy and stay at different friends' houses so you are not there too long.
Section 8 takes years to get, local government rental assisted housing is much faster.
Look at your local women's shelter. You can find this information in the local yellow pages. There will be government sponsered organizations that do provide emergency shelter for moms in need. Don't cancel out looking at local churches too -- these often have help programs for desperate moms too.
