Are There Ways To Change The Colors Of Flowers?

Can you do anything, to make red roses orange by changing or adding certain things to the soil?

I don't think there's anything you can do to them while they're still growing, but when you put them in a vase with water, adding a few drops of food coloring to the water will change the tint of the petals.

I know that you can change the color of hydrangeas to pink or blue by adjusting the soil pH, and you can cause tulips to be striped by infecting them with a virus. Of course, after flowers are cut, you can use dyes to change their colors. Most notable are the daisies, which though unnatural I find very pretty.
