    Does anyone use Feng Shui principles for their decorating and buying decisions?

    I am just wondering from my own designer perspective. If you have use the Feng Shui principles did it improve and enhance your style, space and energy? which rooms did you enhance and what elements did you add or remove. Was the benefit noticable quickly?

    I actually do take these principles into account. I became interested in it after buying an apartment here in Paris 15 years ago and noticing a lot of inexplicable health and personal issues that cropped up shortly after the move. As I looked into electromagnetic influences, I stumbled onto Feng Shui, according to which the odd shape of my apartment accounted precisely for the issues in question.
    I made some changes to my decor, buts it's hard to say how effective it is. I haven't had any mind-boggling results like some people recount (wish I had). But then again, I can't change the shape of my apartment either. I do have someone coming to change the walls in the entry to "disguise" the direction of my front door, which is in the worst possible direction. I'll let you know if it changes anything!
