How do I rid my home of house centipedes?
I sprayed all the air vents and drains with bleach which has kept them away for a few weeks, but I found another one today in my sack of potatoes. I don't want to keep spraying my vents with bleach just to avoid house centipedes. I haven't seen any spiders, or roaches, and we definitely don't have bedbugs or other insects for them to feed on.
It has been raining for almost 2 weeks straight could that be causing them to come in hoards? I was told they don't travel in "packs" however I saw 5 in the 3 days before I first sprayed and now that I've seen 1 I'm afraid more will come.
You could try peppermint essential oil. I know it works for spiders and ants. Put a few drops on a cotton ball, and leave where they enter. Don't use too much, or you'll be vacating the premises too...lol. Peppermint essential oil is very strong. Good luck.
