Ancient craft making of 'hand held' strainers? Are the Japanese still making them?
Just wondered. The Japanese craft person I saw making one to add to add to his home store collection. Was very agile in hand and eye coordination and in spacing and tying the wired grid unto the metal and some were with wooden rims and wooden hands. Some were large to smallest in size with a variety of uses. Mostly considered cook ware. Used in preparing nd draining off steamed vegetables, rice, and noodles, and so forth.
